About the AATT

The INSTITUTO SUPERIOR DEL TRADUCTORADO-DIPREGEP 5649, creator and trustee of the official technical-scientific translation degree course, founded the AATT (Argentine Association of Technical-Scientific Translators) on 10 March, 2000.

AATT

The Association is a non-governmental organization open to qualified English-Spanish technical-scientific translators from all over the country.

Its concerns are the promotion of translation, the assistance, publicity and defence of its members, and the custody of professional ethics. To these ends, AATT performs academic, informative, supportive and corrective functions.

On this site, you will find a selection of professionals, registered with the Association, whose services can be requested to quote an estimate for translation/interpretation.

You will also find information about the International Translation Skills Examinations (TSE international) offered to EPB and ESB schools at no cost.

Among other advanced-level academic activities, AATT holds the University TSEs in Business/Science/Techniques, which are specialized translation seminars and examinations for students who have completed Polimodal and passed the ELT Lower Certificate (New Oxford).

In the "Publications" section, you will have access to an e-version of AATT's latest official publication, Review: a yearly magazine with reviews written by trainee and professional translators.

If you are interested in reading past-year articles published in Review, please access the Articles section.

The Code of Professional Conduct, whose guiding principles bind the practice of professional technical-scientific translation, is available in the "Code of Conduct" section.

A section of exclusive access for active members ("Restricted Area") contains the most powerful word and abbreviations search engines, translation resources, lay-out, format, punctuation and grammar files, and useful information for the practising professional.

Should you have any comments, do not hesitate to contact us.

We hope you enjoy your visit to AATT.
